“Mosasaurs as a whole are more wild and less cooperative with people than their dinosaur cousins. The largest ones patrol the deep waters offshore,and can make sea voyages extremely dangerous as they have been known to attack ships entering their territory. Some of the smaller species however, can be persuaded to be more helpful. Individuals have been known to herd schools of fish toward waiting nets, as well as collect mollusks and decorative sea shells from the ocean floor. In exchange for their services, they usually require a portion of the catch or help in getting rid of any hitchhikers and those hard to reach itchy spots.”
